I am installing a Matrix RS3 into my '02 focus and I was installing the antenna for the 555U interface around the ignition when I noticed what looked like a factory transponder ring already in place. From the directions of the 555U it says if there is a Factory Transponder Ring inplace to find the Factory Transceiver Module and connect the 555U into that. The problem is that the 555U only works for 2 wire Factory Transceiver Modules and the one on my car has 4. Anyone know of any possible solutions?

Thanks

I think that I answered my own question. What I am seeing around the ignition is not a transponer ring, but the PATS antenna. I sure am glad cause I have a ton of wires hanging out of the car at the moment and I did not want to remove them.
