95 voyager door trigger

I hok up the - door trigger input of my alarm to the yellow wire coming form the silver relay box behind the center console. only problem is that most of the time the dome lights stay on for about 20 seconds after you close the door. this causes the alarm to bypass door sensing because the circuit is alaready opne. Any suggestions or should I just go straight to each door pin (seem like there would be an easier way)

I should note that several times the dome light went off right a way when the doors were closed. not sure why it act different sometimes???

yes thats the wire I got, but like I said the dome lights stay on more than a reasonable time to wait before arming the alarm. alarm is carbine plus4600

ok makes sense but i can still get around this inconvenience by going directly to each door pin??right?

My 93 does this all the time, though not consistently....but whatever. I just notice that my alarm waits for it to go off like the door was still open then chirps again when it shuts off to completely arm. I doubt there is anyway to disable the timer since its probably internal to the car's control module. That thing seems to control everything.
