Install car: 1994 Volkswagen Golf III

I am sure you guys have seen this alarm on ebay... 60$ or so buy it now. I figured since I bought the car for 400$ the cheapest alarm will work, I mainly wanted it for keyless entry and remote start. Well I got the alarm and the install was going ok.... Some of the manual could be more descriptive but oh well. Once pretty much complete I hooked the battery up to test it out. Problems as listed:
For some reason the trunk release works once in a blue moon then turns into a second alarm arm button.
I can get the keyless to lock but not unlock. (maybe wiring - I do have a double pulse relay hooked up but all I get is a lot of relay clicking no unlocking)
All of the program features in the manual do not match, well maybe one.
This is what the manual lists:
#1 Passive/active

#2 Passive lock on/off

#3 Ignition autolock on/off

#4 3 Second lock-unlock on/off

If anyone has any idea what the program features are please post so maybe I can get this working. I am soooo close and after a week I want to get this working. This is what I have found please add if you can.

#1 Passive/active

#2 ??? Probably Passive lock on/off

#3 ???

#4 Chirp on/off

#5 Double lock-unlock pulse on/off

#6 3 second lock-unlock pulse on/off

#7 Ignition autolock on/off

#8< I couldn't find anything else out above 8... not sure how far it goes

see if any of these help you:
• Door activated anti-carjacking
• Last door arming
• Doors lock with last door arming
• Current sensing
• Doors lock upon ignition on
• First door unlock upon ignition off
• Second door unlock upon ignition off
• Open door bypass of ignition lock / unlock operations
• Parking and dome lights illuminate 5 or 30 seconds upon disarming
• Automatic rearming
• Trunk release also disarms system
• .8 or 3 second doorlock output
• Single or double pulse unlock output
• 3 or 45 second arming delay
• Confirmation chirps on or off
• 30 or 60 second triggered alarm duration
• Steady output for siren or pulsed output for horn
• Loud or quiet confirmation chirps for horn setting
• Total closure door lock output
• Transmitter-activated anti-carjacking
• One button or two button arming / disarming
Good Luck

No more progress on which program features I have or how to change them. I did find out my vacuum pump isn't working which is why the car isn't unlocking. Also the trunk release will work if I hold the button for a second, if I just press it the alarm will arm. Is there anyway to integrate a capacitor into the wiring so it will hold the charge longer?
