HELP!
I have a Clarion UNGO car alarm on my '93 truck. Has worked fine until this weekend, when I installed a new battery. Made the mistake of installing the battery cables to wrong posts. Just as I realized my mistake and was placing the positive cable down on the terminal I wasn't fast enough and saw a spark and heard a "pop". Well, now the alarm seems to have been damaged because, although the remote key indicates "red" as if trying to arm, nothing happens with the unit. Have looked at ALL fuses and none are apparently blown. Additionally, can't determine which one was used to tie in the unit when installed (had it done professionally). Any suggestions as to what could have happened? Did I blow a fuse or is the entire unitl toast?

did you damage any thing to the truck? look for the alarm and trace down the red wire it should have a fuse. u may have to re program the remotes, but they should stayee in memory. does everthing work on the truck, could blow the main fuse. or if it has fuseable links.

Yes, everything electrical on the truck checks out. Looked at all the fuses in the main fuse box and they all appear to be ok. Read the UNGO schematics and see that it shows a red wire with a 3amp fuse going to the positive terminal on the battery, but have not been able to find any inline fuse. Don't know how it was originally wired and am reluctant to start unplugging leads to try to fix the problem. Thought that I would find one thing on the truck not working and that would tell me which fuse was blown, but, so far, have not had any luck. Leads me to believe I blew something in the unit itself.

the red wire from the alarm may be going to the ingition harness. Can you find the alarm brain? May be hinding very well. but the fuse for the main power wire be near the brain itsef. also thre may be 2 fuses on the main power wire. one very close to the brain, and one about few inches
from were they conected at the power source. how far away is the place that installed it. may have them do it.
