Compustar 2WSS users, please help.

Hello.  I have a 1966 Ford Mustang which I am doing research on getting a car alarm for.  After searching through posts on this awesome site I have come to a possible conclusion that the Compustar 2WSSR might be the best alarm for me... but I was hoping those who have used it might be able to add their input here and help me finalize my decision.

I am a 20 year old college student.  At school I think this alarm is the best range wise because of its 'spectrum' range technology.  On a college campus I'm sure there lots of interference waves so I'm hoping this unit would be able to penetrate those.  My main fears for this car is drunk idiots keying, denting or just wrecklessly damaging it if they pass by at night/ and theft of the future stereo system I plan on getting. 

On to some questions:

One thing I really was interested in with other competing alarms was the microwave 'radar' sensor which lets you know if someone penetrates the 'forcefield' around your car.  I would like to add that sensor to this Compustart alarm system... is that possible? I'm not sure how it would work/if it would work by telling me on the LCD screen?

Also, since this car is ancient, there are no hood locks so it is very important for me to know if my hood has been opened.  The compustart didn't have this option (or I couldn't find it) and this is one of my biggest deterrents to purchasing this alarm.  As with the microwave sensor, is it possible to add a hood open sensor to this alarm unit? If so, will the LCD be able to signal to me somehow that it has been opened?

I'm not sure if the remote start would work on my car since it's carbuerated.   I really don't car about the remote start feature, if it works, awesome! If not, oh well.

You would be able to hook up the hood, and there is a hood icon on the LCD that will alert you if that zone is bypassed. The Compustar also has additional inputs so you could add a proximity sensor with no problem. The spread spectrum comes in an alarm only, remote start only and alarm/remote start combo. The remotes are little temperamental, but it is the longest range on the market.
