Hi, my first problem is that when the vehicle remote starts and is turned off my radio will stay on until the door is opened.  How do i set it to turn off with the the car when i turn it off by remote?

and my second problem is that the remote start only runs for about 1 minute and then it shuts off.  could this be because i didnt hook up the factory disarm and rearm? what do i have to do to fix this. thanks

The radio is wired like that from the factory. The only way to change that would be to change your ignition lead to your radio.

I would also check or change your tach signal. It might not be a good source. You should be getting it from the engine  ignition coils.

you need a 555U to make the remote start with PATS.  was that already there from the last remoe start?

Hooking up the re-arm wire on the 791XV to the drivers doorpin wire will shut the radio off when the remote start times out.
What are you using for a tach signal? I would suggest a fuel injector wire on that vehicle. Then learn the tach signal at about 1500 RPM's.

usually shutting off after 1 min isnt a sign of a remote start working fine.  if the brain doesnt see the right transponder code it wont run right.  it never hurts to check that.

For tach, go to one of the ignition coils or coil pack and use the wire that is NOT WHITE/ lt. blue

for the tach thats the wire i used, as for the transponder, it wouldnt even start if the code was wrong, just to be sure i started the car with the key in the ignition and it still shut off.  i read that there are problems witht the tach on this car, and i should use a injector wire.  is that safe?

Do I need to answer this question again? Hook the rearm wire up to the drivers door pin.
