I am planning to install a remote start on a 1996 Ford Taurus and was wondering if I need the bypass the security on this model.  If so, where can I purchase a keyless bypass.

thanks

I just installed a Valet 552T on a 1997. Do not need to bypass security if you don't mind unlocking your doors with the factory remote first or...using the key to unlock or.....canceling the automatic start inorder to use factory remote lock/unlock.

Can you start your car with a plain metal key?
