Hi,

We are installing a AutoStart 6165 SH into a 1994 Nissan Pickup,  and are currently experiencing dificulties.  Every connection that we made was metered out before connecting.  The only thing that we did not connect was the starter kill.  Everytime we energize the module the siren goes off.  The siren will shut off after about a minute, however when triing to enter programing mode by using the hood pin, as directed in the manual, the same thing happens.  Also as soon as the module is energized the LED blinks as if the system were armed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Vortex

The system usually comes "armed" from the factory, why this is I'll never understand.  Shut the system down by turning the ing on and pressing the valet switch.  (emergency disarm proceedure)  Carefull you down't put into valet.  Program up the transmitter. (why don't they come preprogrammed?, I'd have more faith tha the unit had been tested then.  (hated getting defective ones out of the box)
