My friend and I are about to start installing a remote start/keyless entry module into his blazer.  We have seen on here that his car is protected by passlock and requires a bypass module.  Could someone explain exactly what passlock is?  Can it only be bypassed with a special module?  Is this module readily available at a best buy or circuit city?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Passlock System uses what is known as a"Hall Effect Sensor" to send a resistor code to the Passlock Module. This resistor code is activated when the key physically rotates a magnet in the ignition switch. In some vehicles the code is activated when the ignition switch is turned to the run position, while on others it is not activated until the switch is in the start position.

YES..........U do need a By-Pass Module

We use Omega #Pass2, or #DB-PLDATA which ties into DATA wire(easier)
U can probably get it at the stores U mentioned..........But why not buy it at your LOCAL Stereo shop.......We all need the support
