Curious if anyone has a recommendation for a switch for my remote start.  I have remote start in a manual transmission and I have it set so it won't start unless the e brake is pulled.  However, even if I pull the e brake and leave it in gear, it still rolls forward.  I want a switch (normally closed contacts), that would open if it started in gear.  Like a shock sensor type thing.  Something that would just temporarily open to shut down the truck, so my truck would only roll a foot or two.  Thanks for the help.

Depending on your car set up, Just use your head. use a switch with a actuator arm. it does take time to get it right. also going to have to get soem sort of bracket, this is also going to take some thinking. I heard that they make one for manural but not sure how that works. Hers is the type of switch i used. Once again just use your head.

Since you have already installed one r.s.,first of all does it have 'reservation mode'?? this is for sticks, basically, every time you exit the car, the motor stays running until you close the door,if the door is reopened b4 a r.s.,it will not start(potential for being in gear, but when you first left the car,it had to be out of gear..,it was running with you outside!)
and not to mention the POTENTIAL damage to others lives..this is no joke, less than a week ago,i was getting something out of my truck, and the car next to me was hit by a vehicle with a remote start,if it had hit me into my truck,i wouldnt be walking!! today for sure, perhaps ever! PLEASE invest in a COMPETENT installer,if you insist on putting a r.s. on a stick..I will not sell one of these installs..reservation mode or not!(IE: you can stick yourself into an open window and put the car into gear without openning the door, again a good install can overcome certain things like that, but someone needs to do ALOT of thinking to make sure..most of what people pay me for is my mind, the hooking up the wires is the easy part!)
Look into Compustar,it isnt a made in the usa code alarm, but if it is put in properly,it has some pretty cool features..seperate hood/trunk(so you can open the trunk, and the r.s. doesnt shut down..for one..)
