Whats up guys.  Just found this place and i figured i would hoot this idea/question to you guys.  Just boutgh an 04 jeep grand cherokee with a power drivers seat.  the problem is that as with most cars they dont have a memory function unless it is paid for in the beginning.  So my question or idea is.  Is it possible to make some type of gadget that plugs into the seat wiring harness that would hold a couple of seat settings. so i could move the seat without the wife flipping out on me.  Thanks  In advance....

You'd need to add a few things:
-motor driver
-feedback device
-system controller
The hardest oen is the feedback device, since you need to figure out a way to not only know the rate at which the motor is changing the position of the seat, but you also need a way to index the system, so it knows where it is at all times. I'm not sure how technical you are, but I'd design it as a standalone system, and you'd need to hack the harness some to get a seamless interface.
