I am going to install a VIPER 550ESP in my '03 Escape and had a quick question for anyone out there. All the wiring diagrams suggest a different wire for the factory alarm arm/disarm. DEI provides a factory alarm disarm wire when the remote start is engaged (and suggests a wire to use as an optional factory rearm when the remote start is disengaged). Do I need to deal with the factory alarm/disarm when just dealing with the door locks? In other words, when wiring the DEI, in addition to pulsing the (-) door un-lock, do I also need to pulse the factory disarm? If so, how would I do that? Can I just split the - unlock from DEI and wire up the door locks as they should be and also just wire it to the factory disarm?
Thanks in advance for any help.

U could use Door UNLock wire for both with Diode, but why??
(<<DEI provides a factory alarm disarm wire when the remote start is engaged>>)
Yes, U need to pulse Door Unlock to Unlock and use DEI DisArm wire if U want the Alarm to DisArm

I guess what I was asking was, does the DEI Disarm wire engage when ever you disarm the system, or only when you activate the remote start? If I use the DEI keyless entry to arm/disarm the DEI security, will it pulse the Alarm Disarm or does it only do that when you engage the remote start?
