To anyone;

I've been wanting to install an automatic close module for my sunroof in conjunction with my existing alarm. I have a Viper 450 I think. I purchased a power window control module, here is the wiring for the module I purchased.

Pink - To accessory item, Green - Left Motor, White - Left switch, Orange - 500ma. Activation, Black - Ground, Red - Battery, Blue - Right motor, Brown - right switch.

I'm wondering if I can use this power window control module for my sunroof to close automatically when I arm it just like my windows. Can you help me on this? and also, can someone explain to me what's the use of Pink and Orange wire?.....

Thank you...

depends how your sunroof is wired.

If you have 2 swithes for the roof closure possibly.also depends if you have tilt and slide s/roof.

The orange wire should be connected to the - activation of your alarm, and the pink wire is connected to additional closure modules.

Hope this helps.

my sunroof has two switches one for tilt and one for open feature. You can tilt it up and close it.. and then you can open it all the way back but then when you close it, it closes half way and you have to switch it again to fully close it.. I'm not mainly concerned with that.. the one that I'm concerned about is how to wire it to close it down when it's tilting up when I activate the alarm.

Hmmm

I have doubled up some window closures in my time, using both motor wires together and both switch wires together.

You will need to meter the close wire, see f it rests at (-) and when you press the close switch it should go to +12v

Let me know.

Dave
