First of all, I would like to thank MO, for his help.  I was trying to make the GMDL1 installation more difficult than it should have been in my '04 Trailblazer.  I am still having some trouble though with the factory alarm.  If I unlock the doors with the remote and then use the remote start, everything works fine.  If I forget to hit the unlock first, the factory alarm goes off.  Does this have to do with the pink GMDL1 wires that I didn't hook up or is this in the setup of my remote start module?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The GMDL1 module should disarm the factory alarm when you remote start it. When the ground out when running wire is activated by the remote starter, the GMDL 1 is suppossed to send a disarm data pulse to the factory alarm/BCM. You can get around this if your remote starter can be programmed to unlock the doors prior to start-up and relock them after start-up. Check your remote starter's programming abilities for this. You may have also forgotten to place the programming jumper on the GMDL1 in the wrong position.
