I have a Command Start CS270i in my 2000 Alero. It worked fine until a few months ago. Now the remote won't start it. The park lights don't flash or anything. Keyless entry still works fine, though.
We moved to a different town, so I can't take it back to the original installer. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

hello!
i have installed command start for many years it sounds like it could be a few things so here goes:
1) check to make sure the on/off switch is in the "on" position....it is usually under the dash or behind the fuse door on the side of the dash
2)open the hood to make sure the "pin switch" is not broken or the connector has not come off.
3) check fuses under dash on the command start itself
4) check the remote make sure it is still functioning correctly.
worst case is the command start is faulty, it is possible and has happened before, unfortunatly there is no longer service for the units themselves anymore seeings how they went out of buisness, if this is the case then replacing it with a new model would need to be done.
sweet.

Thanks. The on/off switch is on, and the pin switch still looks good. I'll see if I can get at the actual unit to check the fuses. The remote seems to be working OK - the unlock works properly at least.

Also check with a DMM on the power wire, fuses and make sure that the ground wire is also still connected securely.
