I have hooked up the relay wires for the remote start but my car wont start with the starter wire cut and rerouted. I rechecked them a couple of times. Might this have anything to do with the neutral safety switch not being connected? Do I really need the to connect it? The car is a 2000 jeep cherokee.

sounds like you might have the starter wire hooked up in the wrong place.....does tha car start with the key????? if so, move the starter wire from the remote start to the other side of the starter disable relay.....
