I hooked up the code-alarm with the help of a manual I got online but I can't access the programming mode so I customize the options it comes with.  Its a used module and I installed it on my 93 celica gt.  According to the manual I'm suppose to close doors, with system disarmed, insert key and turn on/off/on/off/on and 2 seconds later the led will blink and I'm suppose to insert a code but I don't get this far, for I have the code 4-digit...

Something may be wrong with my wiring but I'm sure I wired it according to the wire codes I got online...

Other faults I've noticed on my setup is that I can still arm/disarm with car running, the only way the doors lock when I press arm button is if the actual switch on the driver's door is set to unlock.  If i push the Lock switch on the driver's door handle, the arm button will not lock the doors whether or not they are locked or unlocked.  However, unlock will always work whenever I press disarm.  Help me out guys, been working on this for days and I'm stressing it...

Sounds like you haven't hooked up ignition sense , if this wire is not hooked up it will not regonise the car is started, it should be a blue / red wire at the ignition switch.

As far as the locking have you connected up to a blue / black ( lock ) and a blue ( unlock ) wires found in the kick trim. These wires are negative trigger.

Good luck

hmmm...define this 'ignition sense' wire please...which wire from alarm module goes to the blue/red wire @ ignition switch?

I connected up to a blue/black (lock) and both blue (unlock) + green (unlock child safety or something like this) 3-wire negative....i think i connected it rite...i am just confused about how to use diodes w/ unlock wire...

Sorry I dont know the wiring on code alarms but does the manual your downloaded indicate which wire should be wired to ignition sense ?.  I was just tring to diagnose the problem by its symtoms. locking problem sounds weird , may be fualt with locking switch on door ? don't know , anyway good luck with it .
