I just installed a Mannix keyless/alarm/start unit and it works great except I can't figure out how to do the defrost.  My 95 integra has a button you depress which activates the defrost for 10 minutes or so.  The Mannix dedicated defrost output sends only a 1 second signal to activate the defrost.  As currently wired, my defrost is activated for 1 second when the car is started remotely!  Is there some way I can use that 1 second signal to trigger the defrost button so it will run for the usual 10 minutes?

thanks.

You could hook up a relay in parallel to the defroster switch.  The relay would duplicate the process of pushing the button by making the same electrical connection that is made when you press the switch with your finger.

Pin 85 - Connect to the defrost output from the remote start unit.

Pin 86 - If the defrost output is a positive pulse, this gets connected to ground.  If the defrost output is a ground pulse, this gets connected to +12V.

Pin 30 - Connect to one side of the defrost switch.

Pin 87 - Connect to the other side of the defrost switch.

Hope this helps,

-Michael
