Just wanted someone elses opinion, today i had a 1999 ford expedition come in for a remote start, The truck has the 4.7 triton engine. the last 4 ford with this engine, i couldnt get the tach to program, on the f150s and expeditions, used a total of 5 differnt brand starters. I'm going to the uncommon side of the coil on each of them. I even tried every coil on the one today. was just wondering if any one else had this problem or knew the quick fix

Love the name..... just glanced over at the tube and who is on the Simpsons, Mt. T. Talk about timing. Stupid question maybe, but when faced with 5 failed remote starters, did you meter the line to ensure that it was infact giving AC voltage?
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

yea, i measured the the line on all, the voltage reads 1.2v, idling, 1.9v reved up. Its only on that engine, it will never pick up the tach.

thats what i got at every coil, and even the wire all the tech supports gives me, Im just dumbfounded
