i just bought a new remote for my security system. i have a hornet (dei) 554T and i just bought a viper alarm. i read that the remote will work cause of it being a dei and having the 266 codes. the only question i have is, when i get the remote, how will i program it to work with my alarm. will i just go thru the lean rountine or will i have actually have to program it in? ne help will be greatly appreciated.

Well you should be able to press the valet button 4 times for arm...5 times for disarm..and 7 for remote start. I think that is the right patterns.
