I have a nissan 2004 titan and bought a stellar alarm system str 9950 with remote start.

1. can I remove the oem alarm? or do I use a bypass module?

2. with the remote start, since the titan has a transponder key how do I bypass that function for the remote start but still be able to keep that function when the alarm is not active.

any help will be much appreciated.

You will need a transponder bypass module. The part with the transponder is that you need to lose one of your keys to place into the module. The old alarm is there to stay. That shouldent affect the remote start option.
