Hello,
I just purchased a Mannix Security System and I can get eveything to work but I'm not sure how to hook up the remote start. I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota and if someone could help me out, I will do what I can to repay them.
Here is a link for some info on the starter wires:
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1987-93&make=Dodge&model=Dakota&ID=17596&type=Alarm
Please Help,
Thank You,
-Jason

All you have to do is splice in the wires from the Mannix into the ignition wires of the Dodge. ie. Ignition wire ( DARK BLUE ) on truck goes to the IGNITION wire from the Mannix. Starter wire from Dodge truck ( YELLOW ) goes to the starter wire from the Mannix, etc, etc, etc...... Make all your connections necessary and use the wiring sheet from the link above to help you. What you need are these wires to make the system work:

  • Starter
  • Ignition
  • Accessory
  • ground
  • tach wire
  • Constant 12 volts

If you get all these wires connected and program the tach, the system will work for you.

In the wiring diagram in the back of the installation book, it shows a lot of relays... does this mean I must purchase additional relays?

Ya, I think we do need to buy extra relays if want some extra features.
I'm installing a mannix ms700 on my 94 civic cx. the alarm seems work ok, but it just won't remote start. I swear all the necessary wires are connected except trunk pin, etc. by the way, I've a manual tranny.
When I tried automatic reservation on remote start, press and hold the * button, the trunk open signal lit up on my transmitter. I tap the trunk input wire to the ground, and then to the +12V, nothing changed. I've no idea what's going on, still checking on it.

anyway I got my mannix worked. but I still can't find the hook up point for trunk pin (mine is hachback). I checked
94 honda civic's alarm information (https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1994&make=Honda&model=Civic&ID=17970&type=Alarm)
but I couldn't find the GREEN/ black wire above the fuse panel blue connector. only one similar is totally green.
Could anyone generously give me a picture of that and point it out? thx in advance.

Hi. in reply to your boot pin just go straight to the negative side of your boot light. Its just a lot less hassle.
