Still the problems continue. The optional strip antenna I bought with my DEI 4 Watt 27MHz pager just doesn't give me any range at all. I have been warned not to connect the pager into the cars radio-antenna loop because of the real danger of the pager blowing out the radios front end. Any other external antenna would be to long since this is in the Citizens Band and the wavelength requires about a 4 foot antenna. Has anybody out there had good luck with these pagers or am I all wet?

I have an Alpine digital pager system (SEC-8205 I think is the right #) I have pretty good range with it (about 3/4 to one mile).  It is run through the factory ant.  as per the installation instructions.  No problem with the radio yet. I believe that the frequency utilized by the pager are 27MHz also. What kinda range are you currently getting?

Just one question before I reply in full. Is your car antenna in the rear window or is it an external vertical wire
mounted to the cars fender or roof support pillar?
