Hey guys, the subject says it best, its a 2001 golf TDI , i  exit the car set the alarm and walk inside the house.  Then about a minute later the alarm starts going off (the factory alarm) and there are no mods to this car. Ive searched over the net and see its a common problem but havent found an answer yet. If anyone could help me or have an idea it would be great. And yes i make sure all the doors are closed and fully secure.

Thanks

For the OEM alarm system, you have to narrow down the possibilities of what it could be. There are only 3 points of entry that are triggered in the OEM alarm system.

  • door trigger
  • hatch trigger
  • hood pin switch

Check each of these points of entry with a DMM and it narrow down what is triggering the alarm. Once you find it, post your results.
