I purchase a remote start alarm combo and am putting it in a 97 cavalier.  the problem is two fold. the alarm has no second ignition ouput but i think the car does.  Do i runa  relay off the first ignition?  Also the alarm has no oem bypass out so how do I activate the passlock bypass module I have when i hit remote start on the alarm key fob so the passlock will be bypassed and car will start?

Also anyone have an accurate chart for a 1997 cavalier?

Thanks

Get three relays, wire as follows:

85 on all three relays:  Ground

86 on all three relays:  to the Ignition output of your remote start.

Relays #1 and #2:  30 to constant positive.

Relay #3:  30 to ground.

Terminal 87 on relays #1 and #2 will now be  your two ignition outputs--- one of these goes to the car's pink ignition wire, and the other goes to the white second ignition wire.

Terminal 87 on relay #3 will put out a ground to activate your Passlock bypass module.

Of course, the constant-power inputs going into relays 1 and 2 should be fused....I'd just splice into the fuse(s) that already come with the remote starter.

Notes:

This vehicle has a the PASSLOCK I key based engine disabling system.  Use DEI part number 555t or 555L to bypass during remote start.  *1 The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the radiator hose, just above the transaxle.   *2 Non keyless cars, locks are 5wi (type C) and they are mastered from the passenger side switch. Keyless cars, locks are positive trigger (type A).  *3 The GREEN/ black is located in the lower drivers kick panel.  It catches the drivers door only.  The light blue is located in the lower passenger kick panel, and catches the passenger door(s).  Tap both wires and diode isolate each.  *4 The keyless module is located in the left side of the trunk behind the rear seat.
