Techn'ly what is Keyless Entry?

typically keyless entry has the remote that you mentioned. but the main difference is:

most fords have a 5 wire door lock system (the lock wires have reversing polarity) and a special part is needed (2 relays will work as well), the 5 wire system is a little tricky for the first time because you actually have to cut the two wires and interface the relays. Now if you have a keyless entry system, there is a control module where there is a negative trigger for lock and a negative trigget for unlock, so you can tie your negative triggers off your alarm or keyless entry to those triggers and all the work for the 5 wire system is already done because of that module.
