and i know many of you frown on tachless installations. but i like to leave the tach wire and hood pin as "time permitted" connections.
so after making my RS connection in the ignition harness and any other applicable immobilizer bypass interfaces, i like to test the operation of the remote start. but these MARS22 and the last batch of comfort starts have not been working with voltage sensing. they start up, then they immediately cut-off within 3 seconds.
hell, after connecting the tach wire on the MARS22 on a '97 Sebring yesterday, i still couldn't get the car to stay running only to find out the switch on the MARS22 was incorrectly labeled. I connected tach wire, switched to what was labeled as "TACH START"...only to find out that the labeled "TACH START" was not. so i switched it to "SMART START" with tach wire connected and the unit started properly.
Cars where this has been a problem have been:
'98 Durango
'97 Sebring Convertible
'92 Buick Century
'98 Olds 88
anybody else haveing a similar issue with this unit?

I just installed a mars22 in my '02 Tahoe and had no problems using the smart-start.  I have it switched to "smart-start" and adjusted the dial until te LED was blinking steady.

I am however having problems with the remote unlock.  I have everything attached as I understand it, using a relay on the positive-pulse door locks.  The lock and unlock are attached as they come from the door (traced 12V when the botton is depressed) but the remote won't unlock the vehicle.  Locks it fine.  Everything else is working fine.

I was thinking about not using the Mars remotes anyway, do you know how to program this to work with my GM factory remotes?  I know the pink wire from the Mars needs connected to something, but I don't know what or how to program the remotes.
