I installed a remote start in a 2000 dodge caravan. There is no heat or any other acc. In the chart it lists dark GREEN/ red ignition 2. This wire does not exist in the minivan. Any idea on how I can get the heat to turn on? THe remote start is a walmart job. I think a bulldog. It was the most basic model that was made. Thanks in advance

If you do not have a factory security system use a 1500 ohm for lock and a 250 ohm for unlock.   *3 The door lock motor wires are located in the top left plug at the relay/fuse box under the drivers side of the dash.   *4 If the van has auto lamps, see direct fax document #1080.

The 2nd IGN is required for the HVAC system to operate. Wire in a relay like this: http://www.velocitymotorsport.com/images/install_notes/2nd_ignition_relay.jpg

Chances are that the Bulldog system didn't even have a 2nd IGN wire output so the installer didn't take the time to put one in.

* The Body Control Module (BCM) is located behind the fusebox under the driver's side of the dash, against the firewall. These wires are located in the plug on the left side. A negative pulse through a 1500 ohm resistor will lock the doors and a negative pulse through a 250 ohm resistor will unlock the doors. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory alarm, substitute a 4020 ohm resistor to arm/lock the doors and a 665 ohm resistor to disarm/unlock the doors. Relays should be used, see the DOORLOCK diagram.
** The 3.3L and 3.8L engines use a multi-coil pack which provides a 2 cylinder output on the GRAY or GRAY/BLACK wire. The 3L engine uses a single coil at the back of the motor which provides a 6 cylinder signal on the GRAY/RED.

You need to power up the 22 guage dark GREEN/ red. this is your 2nd ign. wire......instant heat.

Its on the black plug..   If your brain dosent have a second ign. use a relay and your ground while running wireon a relay   pins 87 and 86 get fused 12 volts (20amps)  pin 85 gets the ground while running from your brain. Pin 30 gets connected to the second ign wire on your vanNo acc. in 2000 dodge caravan -- posted image.
