Need help, I'm installing clifford arrow -3, I have a topper on the back of my truck that I purchased mercury switches for the lift doors (pin switches would be to hard to install with limited space) The mercury switches have two leads(polarity not marked) The alarm control unit has only a single lead for hood / trunk switch. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Depending on the type of input on your alarm, negative (-) or postive (+) triggered will dictate how to hook up your switch. If negative trigger, connect one lead to the alarm input and ground the second lead of the mercury switch. If postive input, connect one lead to the alarm input and the second lead to a 12V source. Polarity on the switch itself does not matter. If you are connecting through the hood / trunk switch chances are this is a negative input. Hope that helps and Good Luck. If mercury switches don't work good for you I have had good luck with magnetic reed type switches for application similar.
