I installed a python 880xp into my girlfriend's saturn.  Everything works fine, but the keychain can't communicate with the brain when remote start is engaged.  If i engage the remote start, i cannot turn it off or unlock or lock the doors.  The only way to get it to work is to unlock the doors with the factory keychain and push the brake.  Only then does the keychain work properly.  Any ideas?

Try turning the heater system inside the car off.  Sometimes it causes interference in certain car.

Hope this works for you.

if it's a system with led's built into the antena sometimes they can cause interfeirence, if they stay on or flash a lot while it's started (i had this problem yesterday with an ultra, not sure that python has anything in the antena tho)

I tried turning off the heat and that did nothing.  There are no led's in the antenna, it's just the standard dual antenna.  This is really getting annoying.  I'm going to borrow a friends remote tomorrow and program it to the saturn and give that a try to see if the remote is bad.

I doubt that the remote is bad, otherwise it would not have sent a code to the brain to start in the first place. It sounds more like a bad brain to me.
