I have a viper alarm.. the remote has decided to not work?!

i'm pretty sure i have a 690xv.

the screen works ok, but no sound is coming out and it won't transmit. i'm stuck at work!!!!

well....here is what you do if your still at work

open the door by key , the alarm will sound off, turn the key to on( ignition) , check underneath the driver dash to find the valet switch....it is a toggle switch, once you find it flick it the other way. This will put your car in VALET mode and will turn off the alarm, so you can drive your car.

hmm... the problem is i think i need to hit the valet switch in a certain way... the guy that installed it told me the pattern but this was more than a year ago and i thnk it's written down in a book at home. anyone know for sure about this model?
