has anyone ever installed a code alarm into their car? I got one for a birthday present and am wondering if its a trusted/good brand to use.. If anyones ever heard anything or experienced anything with these.. plz post...would like to know if its worth installing. Code Alarm -- posted image.

in case theres any mis understanding.. Code Alarm is the brand name... www.code-alarm.com... anyway.. let me know if you know anything good/bad about this product

i hate code alarm... but they are a good brand. what unit do you have. they were aquired by audiovox so some of thier products are based on the code platform and some audiovox. i prefer the latter

If you have the circuit city product..does not sound too reliable.. If you have the regular product line such as the ones listed on www.codl.com then you should be okay. You had better know what the hell you are doing since their installs can be quite a bit complex if you are intense in going by the book and not cutting corners.. I had to read a CA-640 install manual 2-3 times and this was for something I was looking to buy !!

well i got it as a gift and my buddies told me they got it from cuircut city.. its the CA-535 with module.. its got the keyless entry and remote starter...but im going to get it installed at a perfessional place.. and need to know if its worth the money to install.. thanks for the replys guys Code Alarm -- posted image.
