I just started reinstalling remote starters after a long layoff due to health reasons....
I have never used a PLDATA before, I have everything figured out except the Brown wire on unit. It states that it should go to "(-) negative ground output when running."
Do i have to run a relay off Ign.(+) to to get the negative. I'm using a Omega as the base unit., it has a satiellite reply port. If i use that do i have to run a relay? or plug stright into the blue (-) there? Sorry for newbie question.

The remote starter should have a( -) out when running wire.If it does not your idea would work.

note though that you may run into problems when doing this because the pldata runs on the data bus.  So by the time that it takes for the unit to turn on and communicate with the vehicle via the data bus the ignition system has been on the whole time....and that might confuse the vehicles computer and not diable the passlock system....

The data interfaces usually need 2-4milliseconds before the ignition system powers up....Although this is not a problem on most vehicle this problem does happen and something you should be prepared for.
