Hey I have a 2003 SRT-4 Neon and I had a local shop install my Viper 791XV and they would not install the remote start option for good reasons but, I want it so, my question is does anybody know how to do this and what I will need.

Thanks

Wade Walker

is it a standard?   a little more info would allow us to offer some educated advice.....    you can use the 688M manual transmission interface module and do a clutch bypass if it is.....

does the neon have a neutral trigger wire, ive been told and tried it myself  that with out the ground signal from a netral trigger wire from the tranny the brain will not try to start the car or power up any accessory lines.  works great on my protege5

IIRC all srt-4's are mtx so your only option would be your car having a netral sensor (if your lucky like i was) or using a manual module like kgerry said

I am sorry yes it is a manual tranny.  How hard is it to install?  Like I said the alarm has already been in for a year now and I would like to have the other options the alarm offers.

it's a DEI part #.... although i think it may only be available to Canadian dealers based on liability concerns( we dont sue the sh*t out of each other every day up here )

i mean - sueing McDonalds because you shovelled down a couple Big Macs a day for 20 years and then one day realized you're a fat pig... come on !!!    it would never happen here...... ( the lawsuit i mean, not the gluttony )

check with DEI to see if it's available at a dealer near you.....
