I have a 2000 1.8 t passat, and I am desperate with it. Sometimes, it´s immobilizer decides to block, when I try to start it with one of my 3 original keys. Four times I pulled it to the dealer, and to code it again. Last time they told me that I must change the transponder, keys, locks and everything related, (things that I dont want to). Please somebody tell me if it is possible to bypass it forever. I have discovered that if you leave the switch opened for 20 minutes, the sign turns off, and it starts.

You don't have to change locks.... or even keys for that matter... (well, keys as a last resort, but I don't think so). I would start with the wiring from the key reader to the cluster... it may be intermittant. The car shouldn't "lose" both master keys and the valet key all at once. It may drop a key, but only one. When they are scanning the car with Vag-Com, or a VAG1535 (?) scan tool, there should be an immobilizer fault logged in the cluster (immobilizer lives in there).
You might also want to post over at VWVortex in the car electrical section of the forum. Many many VW drivers over there that work on their own cars.
