Anybody having problems with the GMDL-BP being used on the '03-'05 Chevy Silverado? I've been getting a bunch back in the last week because when it gets real cold (around 10 degrees), they seem the either lockup or lose their programming.

Actually... that would be 456G for locks, and 555L for Passlock, but anyways....
Try taking the +12V and ground for the GMDLBP at the OBD connector as well. It seems to reference the data signal better that way.

I beg to differ on that ... The DEI 457g is the newest Module that DOES it all .. No more 456g and 555l to wire up  -

This NEW module does it all .. thru the OBD2 connector

Look it up ...

The 457G seems to be a pretty cool module. You still need to connect to the passkey wires, but nothing to meter!

How KooL.......

Hmmm... interesting indeed. Hafta quiz the rep up next time I see him. I would be happier having to hide one less box.
Perhaps DEI is sorta catching up to the rest of the industry finally.... 'bout freekin' time. For a company that touts itself at the edge of technology, they tend to be painfully slow at it.

accually you dont .. this Module does PK1 / PK2 / PK3 systems .. On PassLock 2 .. No wires to cut .. Module learns it all thru OBD2.. Just needs to be programmed..

Really Easy .. It also will do Trunk release on Most GM cars too..
