Thanks for all your help folks but now I can't seem
to program the darn machine.
It's a prostart (yeah, yeah - I know). - Everything else
works. - Lock, unlock, horn signal, shut down (it's a
manual transmission) but won't friggin start.
Sounds like the tach eh? - Any tricks?
I tried picking the tach signal up like 6 times already.
The parking lights flash as directed but the car won't
start. - Doesn't crank either.
The lights come on, - you can hear beeping in the car
from the ignition then all the lights go off and the
parking lights flash 3 times slow. - Then that's it.
Nothing. - I've left it for like 5 mins and nothing.
Any ideas???
Thanks again folks.

BTW, - the tach wire at the RS unit reads over 12v with
the car on - is that normal? - Too high??
Thanks.

I have a 1989 Toyota Celica GTS manual tranny and
my RS unit is the 3360CT.
The wierd thing is... - I've read I can get access to the
black tach wire in my car at either the ignitor or
the check sonnector but there's no plain black wire
at my check connector. ???
What should my tach wire register as? Constant 12v?
Less? Pulse?
Thanks

Do you have a shutdown diagnostics. if so what does it say.
Alo you have a mnaural tran, did you bypass the clutch, ands how did you do it.
Tach reads about 1-6 volts, use the AC setting not the DC setting

Boy - do I feel like a dummy!
I didn't bypass the clutch. - Duh!
I'm kinda new to this stuff and just figured
the RS unit took care of that but now
I realize I'm a dumbass and that's about it.
Well, - got more work to do I guess.
Thanks for pointing that out.
hehe
