Ok guys,

I have installed 2 of these Mannix SM700 r/s alarm systems on my two Honda Civics, both have no factory alarm. All is good on these cars. I just installed same unit on my friends 2000 Honda Accord and it seemed to work fine. Then after two days, the factory alarm started going off immediately following remote start. These units have a 'rearm' output and a 'disarm' output. I used the 'disarm' output to hook into the disarm defeat wire on the 2000 Honda Accord wiring diagram. Should I have tapped into the factory alarm disarm wire ? or ?

Thanks in advance

Mike

The Dis-Arm wire from your Remote Start should go to:

OEM Alarm DisarmORANGE (-)BEHIND GLOVE BOX IN 24 PIN CONNECTOR

EX disarm wire is Blue in the drivers door. LX it is Blue at the keyless module in the drivers kick. You can alternatively open the yellow wire behind the glove box during remote start to bypass the alarm.
