Well to start I need to thank you all for you QUICK responses and help. Im a first time Compustar installer... But its been fun and im learning quick!!

This install has gone great just a few small problems along the way. My first problem was solved (solid green wire issue in previous post).

1999 Toyota Solara, MANUAL TRANSMISSION  ----  INTERNAL LOOP IS UN-CUT   ( manual tansmission )

NOW HERES MY NEW MINOR ISSUE --- I recieve the following ERROR when attempting to remote start:: Three chirps + three light flashes,  2 second pause,  THEN the lights flash SEVEN times.       ERROR REASON = Reservation Off

Prior to activating the remote start I do the following steps:  FIRST- Remove foot from break, SECOND- Set Emergency break (hear brain click to confirm e-brake has been set), and THIRD- I remove the key from the ignition, BUT instead of continuing to run with the key removed.... the car shuts off like normal!!!! ahhhh!!!!  So I don't even get to the final step of exiting the car with the key out (car running)... and waiting for it to shut off after TWO minutes.

SO HERES WHAT IM THINKING IT MAY BE,  AND I NEED SOME EXPERIENCED ANSWERS TO BACK IT UP!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

I have not and never did connect to the SECOND ACCESSORY (BLACK/ red) on the Solara. No im assuming that this circut requires power from the COMPUSTARS secondary relay on CN#1 (have taped up / not used). Should I be connecting this secondary relay to the Solaras SECOND ACCESSORY circut ????   Is this why im getting the reservation off error??    Or could it be another wire that i have not connected, but is required????  SUCH AS -->  Lock motor / unlock motor?   (solara wires)  whats that?    Should they be tied into the [orange and ORANGE / white wires ( C#5 pin 1&2 )( arm / disarm )] on the compustar brain?  AND LASTLY -->  C#2, Pin#2 small black status wire, I have this wire perminitly grounded. Is this correct seeing that the Solara has no transponder module ( i think )???

I DONT KNOW IF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WILL HELP BUT HERE IT IS ALL THE SAME!!

As a test I temporarly cut the internal loop on the brain to see if I could indeed get the remote srat function to work. When doing so this is what happend --> ( E-brake had to be off ) The starter would crank ( only if i was holding the clutch down ), BUT the Solara would not turn over and run.  The Compustar would try to start the car multiple times, but it would not start ( FIRE ). <-- is this due to the secondary accessory cirut on the Solara not getting power form the compustars secondary relay on C#1?

Guys I can't thank you all enough, your all I got when it comes to gettign my questions answered. You have all proven to be very helpfull and I truly appreciate it.  ITS DEFINITLY BEEN A LITTLE FRUSTRATING, BUT MOSTLY A FUN LEARNING EXPERIENCE!!! Reservation Off Error, Thanks Guys! -- posted image.

that relay is intend for 2nd IGN, so connect that to ur 2nd IGN (prolly the AC blower). you only have 1 ACC.

its part of the install, so i would get everything b4 pressin the remote.
status wire shows (-) when RS, do not ground it... its an output not an input.
you shouldnt have cut the loop, its for AT cars not MT cars, youll need to conenct that back somehow.
RStart requires a antitheft bypass 555U or 555F, or else youll just keep hearing the starter engaging.
B4 bypassing the antitheft, youll nedd to confirm that your RS is workin properly.
-learn the tach sucessfully and then stick the key into teh cyl w/o turning and RS. if it RS successfully, the go on to bypassing the antitheft.
good luck

for now, since you cutted the loop, just leave it as is and then come back to it later when everything works out.

Thanks for the input guys. Heres what I get out of the responses::

First off, the internal loop on the compustar--- I said i temporarly cut the loop, as a test... I have re-soldered it nicely.

I have disconnected the black status wire from ground. ( I thought it was supposed to be grounded ) and taped it up

SO I NEED TO CONNECT THE SECONDARY RELAY FROM THE COMPUSTARS CN# 1 TO THE SOLARAS SECONDARY ACCESSORY CIRCUT IN THE STEERING COLOUM>???

As far as the antitheft / bypass... how do i know the solara requires it, and where could i find instructions.

Lastly I said the following--->why im getting the reservation off error?? Could it be another wire that i have not connected, but is required???? SUCH AS --> Lock motor / unlock motor? (solara wires) whats that? Should they be tied into the [orange and ORANGE / white wires ( C#5 pin 1&2 )( arm / disarm )] on the compustar brain?

Profuse007, I was not talking about the power lock / unlock ( dk blue& dk blue/white) -- do i use the orange wires??

Once again you all have been a big help, this site is great!!! thanks everyone, Nick

SORRY ABOUT THAT LAST POST... I GUESS CUT AND PASTE ISNT A GOOD IDEA !!  :)

Thanks for the input guys, Heres what i got out of the responses::

First off, the internal loop on the compustar--- I said I TEMPORARLY cut the loop, ( as a test ) I have re-soldered it.

I have now disconnected the small black status wire ( - output ) from ground and taped it up. I thought it was an input and was supposed to be grounded.

So let me understand this... The secondary relay from the compustars CN#1 needs to be set up correctly to power the secondary accessory circut in the steering coloum of the solara?? as of now its not hooked up to anything.

When it comes to the anittheft / bypass... how do i know the solara requires it?? and where could I find documentation and or instructions on it?

Lasty I had said the following ---> why am i getting the reservation off error?? could it be another wire I have not connected, but is required???  SUCH AS --> Lock motor / unlock motor (solara wires)?? Should those be tied into the [orange & ORANGE / white wires (C#5 pin 1&2)(arm / disarm)] on the compustar brain?

Profuse007, i wasnt talking about the power lock / unlock ( dk blue& dk blue/white) --- Do I use the orange wires??

Thank you all again. Everyones help has pulled me through!!!!   :)

I just did a compustar 2WSS-AS w/ CM3000 in a MR2, not sure if the wiring is so much differnt but I hope this helps.   I don't have the installation manual in front of me so I don't remember the exact color codes.

There are TWO ignition wires that you have to power up for the vehicle to start.  The BLACK/ orange one should be connected directly to the IGN wire from CN1.  The other IGN (BLACK / YELLOW, thicker gauge)  powers up only when you crank.  So, connect the status output (-) to Pin85 on the second relay that comes pre-wired, and tap the wire off from Pin30 to this Second IGN.

Hope this helps.

well it seems like you got everything else corrected but its only crank and not turning over, so i assume the solara has antitheft. antitheft cars have the lil green key icon on the dash guage.
the main ignition you need to power up is the blk/yllw which you already had connceted. the second ignition is most likely to be for the blowers. the acc is for radio and such. so, you dont necessarily need 2nd ign nor acc to get the RS to fire up.
since you reconnect the loop, make sure the unit do not see any triggers like door, hood, etc.. b4 RS.

compustar CN4 - blue/blk

compustar CN4-blue
you dont need to mess w/ the arm/disarm for ur solara.
