1993 Mazda MPV with Clifford alarm.

Ok so one of my friends has a 93 mpv with a clifford alaram installed in it, dunno why such a good alarm in pos vehicle, anywyas he only got one remote with it when he bought the van but he bought 2 identical remotes off ebay with same numbers as on back of working remote. We were givin the following instructions on how to program the remotes but we tried and it doenst work. I am confused as to what they menat by "PRESS AND RELEASE DRIVER'S DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH 3 TIMES" where the heck is this. SO i ended up thinking it was the headlight switch so i flickered the headlights on and off 3 times but still doenst work. Anyone have any clues as what is goign wrong?
NOTE:A MAXIMUM OF 3 REMOTES CAN BE PROGRAMMED.
NOTE: ANY EXISTING REMOTES NOT USED DURING PROGRAMMING WILL BECOME INOPERATIVE.
HOW:
(1) OBTAIN ALL REMOTE TRANSMITTERS.
(2) REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION SWITCH.
(3) CLOSE ALL DOORS.
(4) OPEN DRIVER'S DOOR.
(5) CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WITHIN 30 SECONDS:
a) INSERT IGNITION KEY.TURN IGNITION SWITCH ON AND BACK TO LOCK POSITION.REMOVE KEY.
b) REPEAT 3 TIMES.
c) PRESS AND RELEASE DRIVER'S DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH 3 TIMES.
d) ENSURE SINGLE ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED.
(6) IF NOT, WAIT 40 SECONDS AND REPEAT PROCEDURE STARTING WITH DRIVER'S DOOR ALREADY OPEN.
(7) PRESS ANY BUTTON OF FIRST REMOTE TRANSMITTER TWICE.
(8) ENSURE SIGNAL ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED.
(9) TO PROGRAM 1 REMOTE TRANSMITTER PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
a) PRESS ANY REMOTE TRANSMITTER BUTTON 3 TIMES.
b) ENSURE SINGLE ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED AFTER EACH REMOTE TRANSMITTER OPERATION.
(10) TO PROGRAM 2 REMOTE TRANSMITTERS PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
a) PRESS ANY BUTTON ON FIRST REMOTE TRANSMITTER TWO TIMES.
b) ENSURE SIGNAL ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED AFTER EACH REMOTE TRANSMITTER OPERATION.
c) PRESS ANY BUTTON OF SECOND REMOTE TRANSMITTER BUTTON ONCE.
d) ENSURE SIGNAL ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED.
(11) TO PROGRAM 3 REMOTE TRANSMITTERS PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
a) PRESS ANY BUTTON OF EACH REMOTE TRANSMITTER ONCE.
b) ENSURE SIGNAL ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED AFTER EACH REMOTE TRANSMITTER OPERATION.
(12) SYSTEM WILL EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE ONCE ALL MEMORY POSITIONS ARE OCCUPIED.

I dont understand what you mean by the dome ligt. The only light is the one on the ceiling with on off switch the light that turns on when you open door and stays on if you dont shut the door right. ALso what the heck is a door post. Im sorry if i sound like a idiot but i really dont know do you want me to go take a picture of the interior so you can help me. The

ok we found the switch and followed the instructions exactly and its still not working. what do they mean excty by step 5 d) ENSURE SINGLE ACOUSTIC SIGNAL IS EMITTED.
which acoustive signal should be emitted ?are these intructions wrong ?

ok finally i figure out the model # the model # Intelliguard 800-IQ thanks please help if ya can
