Ok i know it's the typical problem with the 790xv and it's transmitter but i wanted to make sure the symptoms i'm experiencing are typcial of a broke remote.

My remote is fully charged but out of no where it decided to only receive and will not send any commands.  Instead if i push a button it tries to contact the brain but beeps after a second or two alerting me that the command did not go through.  If i open the door the alarm goes off and the remote beeps to warn me that there is an intruder.  I cannot turn off or on the alarm through my remote but it is still monitoring my vehicle.

Does this sound like what happens when the 790vx transmitter breaks? is there a fix for it or do i need to just purchase the 791xv remote?  Do you think the remote needs to be reprogrammed? thanx

did you try reseting the remote by pulling batt. in and out so everything on the remote resets??  I have seen a few problems not quite like yours but the reset has always worked for me. If not ship it out to get replaced.

try to reprogram, if the remote doesn't relearn then it needs to be sent in. You may even have to pay a replacement fee. We had a good number of those remotes go bad and dei was just swapping them for the new ones but from what I hear we got charged for the last one we sent in that didn't even have scratches on it.
