Can some one tell me, maybe even show me, the best way to bypass the Ford PATS system on a 2005 F150, I am installing a Bulldog Securities model 791 bypass in the vehicle for the remote start to work but i am confused where the "ribbon wire" should be placed.

The directions tell you to place it in front of the factory "ribbon" but This truck doesnt have anything that resembles what they are describing. This truck has a molded ring that is basically flush with the trim of the steering column so there isnt any way to mount it in front of the factory piece. Am i looking at the correct thing. What am i missing exactly?

Thanks

if you slip the key cylinder out you can place the ring rite down onto the factory one...theres a little ball bearing holder button thingie on the underside of the cylinder. turn the key, and push the button, and the cylinder will faal right out
