**BCM found in the passenger's kick panel behind the fuse box. Please see note 211 for negative door lock systems. Lock is a negative pulse and unlock need a 1.5K ohm negative pulse.

i think this is one of the gm's  that cranks when the computer sees accessory drop

Yes it is. You will need the proper bypass module as well ( PLXR ) to make the remote start work.
