Does anyone know how to program mitsubishi montero sport keys?

try to put one key in the igniton position wait 5second and then put the second key to on position wait 5 seconds and put key that you want to program put in on position press the brake and start the car

I thought mitsu was dealer program only how to program keys -- posted image.

If its a newer Montero it may be like other chyrstlers. Like dare said, put one key in, turn ign. on (dont start), wait for security light to go off. Put 2nd key in, turn ign. on, security light will blink go off and come on, put new key in turn ign. on, horn will honk, your done. If that don't work you need to go to the dealer.

Hi everyone,

you guys are correct, but just in case:

1.-obtain 2 programmed keys. 2.-insert first key and turn to on (not run). 3.-switch off and within 7 secondsinsert second programmed key and turn to on. 4.-alarm sistem warning lamp will flash twice. 5.-switch off and withing 7 seconds insert new key and switch on. 6.-alarm sistem warning lamp will illuminate for 3 secons to confirm or flash 3 times to indicateregistration has failed.
