Greetings all!  New "member" here! ( I'm a "guest" when my firewall is on) But I've thrown caution to the wind long enough to type this message!

I thought buying the PD-175 was a good idea at the time. It was very important to me that I got a 2-way unit so I would know MY alarm was activated, and still look forward to the idea of catching some future trauma patients.

I don't really need one of "today's" alarms with all the bells and whistles, but I had to get one to have the 2-way system. The car I need to put it on already has a factory alarm, being that it's a cherry 1977 Corvette, but as we all know that only gives me a honking horn in a parking lot of cars (most people won't even turn their head to look), not to mention me being totally unaware of the intrusion/theft/damage until it's too late. I don't even want to use the auto window feature etc. I only want to use the shock sensor, both doors and hood (which are already wired into factory alarm) and the starter kill feature if possible.

I'm a do it yourself kind of guy and if I've got instructions, there's nothing I can't do (so far). The problem with this alarm is that it has ZERO installation instructions! They provide a micro-print schematic and operating instructions. I searched this site and only seemed to find posts about the nifty auto-start and start and start and start feature...........Anyway, I then thought I'd give in and overpay someone to install it for me, but when I tell the people I call that it's a '77 Vette, they say they can't do it. Huh? I called a couple of places here in Orlando FL that do alarm/stereo installs and window tinting to kill two birds etc. but they only wanted to tint the windows. That seemed a little pricey as well. $85.00 for two side windows and the little flat one in the back? I think I'll handle that one myself.

I guess if there's nobody you can recomend in my area, I just need to know which wires to splice into (77 vette not in database), to be able to monitor the hood and door pins. The schematic for the starter kill seems to make sense but feel free to walk me through that also. I can scan and post the diagram if you like. Let me know and I'll keep checking back.
