1999 Chevy Tahoe remote start

Im trying to setup my remote start and need a wire to go to my starter/ignition coil...does anyone know what this looks like and where it is.  Thanks alot

ECM is located on drivers side inner fender. Tach wire found in a black plug marked 'WHITE'. The target wire your looking for is WHITE in color.

If you are looking for the starter wire then it's YELLOW or PURPLE at teh igntion harness.

I have a wire that has to go to the tach wire which i guess what you're talking about but it is also asking for another to go to the ignition coil and I dont know what that looks like or where to find it....is that under the hood and if so what does it look like and where?  thanks

Normally you only need one wire for a tach signal. Make sure you read if it's an either/ or both wire connection.

Thanks for your help. I found the one marked WHITE for tach signal and have that done but am still having problems finding the "ignition coil" and dont have a clue what it is talking about or what it does.  Thanks again

I must be seeing things too...i just cant find what im doing wrong.  When I push the start button the daytime lights come on like its trying to start and thats it.  Any suggestions?  I must be in the wrong wire or something.  thanks

Are you bypassing the passlock II security system?  If you are, check the security light and see if it is operating the same as if you were to start it with the key.
