05 Avalanche tach wire?

Hey thanks for all the info so far. My question. It's recommended to just pull the cluster and hit the wire back there. Is it just remove a few screws and slowly pull out, then the wires are plugged in to the back and theres enough slack to access the harness? Kinda like if you where to remove the radio? or..
Heard in the past that theres a fixed connector (kinda like PCI/ISA bus in a puter) where the battery needs to be disco'd first since pulling the cluster even a little bit disconnects the plug?

you can get the tach next to the cluster behind the vent at the left of the cluster take the vent out and you will see some wires in a gray tape, take the tape out and you will see the only white wire thas the tach. it work in yukons, cadiilacs, and gmc, cheverolets05 Avalanche tach wire? -- posted image.
