aparently new fords send out a negative ground signal every 30 minutes.  we finished up the alarm and noticed it kept going off every 30 minutes, called someone who works for sound advice and he said you need to isolate the box so the alarm doesn't keep going off...

does anyone know how to do this?

If the above diagram doesn't work you will need to diode & relay isolation.
