I just got a 94 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition.. I was told that It had a Keyless Entry Alarm System built In but I did not get any Remotes to even see If the system works..

So I got my hands on a Tecvox TC 4101 Alarm System. I know Its not the best. Thats why I got It so cheap but my question Is can someone explain to me how to Install It on my truck or point me to anything that can show me how to do It????

If my truck already has a built In Anti Theft system can I tap Into the existing connections for the door locks and the starter disable or should I just do a clean Install of the new system and how would I do that??

The Instructions that came with the Alarm are just confusing. Has anyone on here ever hooked up a Tecvox TC 4101 Alarm System???? Is there anyone on her that has Installed a Alarm System on a 94 Ford Explorer that could help me???

First thing my friend is do you have experience in doing alarms, if  you do then it should be a snap for you to locate the wiring you need and contact tecvox for a wiring diagram.   If not I would suggest letting someone with experience do the install. Or purchase another alarm with instructions, remember "cheap" doesn't always mean it will work correctly when it's installed.  If you want to learn on your own vehicle I do commend you, however you will need some basic tools of the trade and knowledge of 12volt systems.   As for keyless entry on your vehicle you need to access the wiring to the door lock/unlock switch look for your pink / YELLOW and pink/green.  Using a test light clipped to ground check these wires if they lock and unlock when you test each of them then your system is neg. pulse if not then its reverse rest at ground, for which you will find a diagram in the relay forum to help you out.

The unit for the OEM keyless entry is located in the rear compartment panel usually under the back rear window drivers side.    Good Luck

first off I am not a experienced Alarm Installer but I have put In a few.. I just want to be 100% sure what I am doing before I do It.. It has been a few years since I have done this and I have never done It on a truck that already has keyless entry..I do not have the money to buy a new Alarm system nor the money to pay to have It Installed thats why I have to do It my self and also why I am asking so many questions.. Thank you for all your help and If you come across any more Information on my truck or the Alarm system please let me...

I need to add something here. James dont listen to Acura, he is coming off like he is some type of professional installer but yet he is telling you to use a TEST LIGHT.  Note never ever ever ever ever ever ever use a test light when doing installs on cars always use a DMM. Also you dont need to go to the drivers door switch to tag these  lock and unlock wires. From the sounds of it he is very inexperanced himself. You can test for these wires in the  kick panal. Set the DMM for VDC ground out the black or (-) probe. Locate the lock wire and strip a piece of insulation off untill you see the bare wire. Attach the red probe to to the bare wire and check the reading on the meter, if you are showing 0 volts then hit the lock switch and read the DMM. If you see it jump in voltage you have a keyless entry system meaning that you have the positive pulse doorlocks and just see the attached document on how to hook these up. As for the alarm I can honestly say I have never heard of it so I really cant help you there.

I checked the door lock wires In the drivers Kick panel and It does have keyless entry. I now understand what wires need to be connected for my Alarm system for the locks.
Now I just need to understand what the Relay Is used for with this Alarm system and how do I hook that up through the IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS..I Know It has something to do with the starter disable feature..
What do I need to do to hook up the Dome Lights/Superv?? I don't understand what Alarm Input Wire and (+) AT PIN SWITCH Is??
