Anyone experience any problems installing and aftermarket alarm on an 05 F-150?  Things not working as they should, having to troubleshoot, etc.  I'm having some probs with my install just curious if anyone else has....

No problems here, maybe we could offer some assistance if you explained your problems a bit more.

Alright here goes.  I had my Clifford AG5 installed recently.  When the install was complete we realized whenever we try to arm the alarm from the remote...we would get the two chirps and the alarm would immediately fire.  We initially thought that it was related to the remarkably long dome light. So we used Cliffnet to enable the dome light delay.  Same problem.  My installer mentioned the brain may be getting a "pulse" from the door locks/dome.  so he installed a relay that solved the problem. My problem is the relay is loud as hell.  Anywhere I place it I can hear it.  So I posted on here and someone suggested I use the last 2 numbers on the keypad, diode isolated to lock the doors overcome the dome problem.  We did this and removed the relay.  Once we armed the alarm the dome light shut off and the doors locked but then the alarm immediately activated.

I had to leave so we put the relay back in, closed the truck back up and we'll try to get rid of the relay another day.....Otherwise the alarm works wonderfully....  The only problems are that the relay is very audible and that since the relay was put in ...if you arm the alarm with a door open, it doesn't give you the 4 warning chirps to tell you a door is open....it just arms.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Doc....did you isolate the door pins AND the bcm from the door trigger wire?

So far all I know that we've diode islotated were the 7/8, 9/0 wires to lock the doors and shut the dome.   I don't know or think that anything else has been isolated....hence, the relay.  You mentioned isolating the door pins and the bcm from the door trigger....please explain how and why?   You guys have been coming through so far...KarTune specifically.  Thanks in advance.
